Free Number Tracing Books
Our number tracing worksheets for preschool start with the very first digits: 0 to 9. The book is a free printable PDF in which each number gets its own page, with a big dashed digit to trace and stars to colour and count.
For children aged 2–4, numbers make most sense when they are tied to something they can touch or point at. That is why each page pairs the digit with the same number of stars. Your child traces the 3, then colours 3 stars, and you count them together. The zero page keeps it simple: "Zero means nothing at all!"
The book:
- Numbers 0 to 9: 10 activity pages, one for each digit from 0 to 9, with the number word (ZERO to NINE) in grey outline letters and stars to colour on pages 1 to 9.
The cover shows "Age 2–4". Each page has Name and Date lines, and the book ends with a "Super Star Learner!" certificate. Print the A4 PDF (or US Letter in the US and Canada) at 100% scale, in colour or black and white.
Tips: do one number a day, count everyday things too (spoons, shoes, steps), and praise the counting as much as the tracing. If your child loses interest, colouring the stars alone is still a good session.
