Free India Books for Kids
Our India activity books for kids are two free printable PDFs for ages 2–4: one about the national flag and one about the Om symbol. Both keep things simple, with one big picture per page to trace and colour.
Many families like to share familiar symbols with their children early, whether that is the Tiranga on Independence Day or the Om seen at home or in a temple. These books show only the symbol itself, with no stories, prayers or history, so you can talk about it in your own family's way while your child colours.
The books:
- I Love My India: 16 pages of the Indian flag (Tiranga) with the Ashoka Chakra, shown waving, flat, on a pole and held in a hand, to colour or trace.
- My First Om: 27 pages, each with one big Om (ॐ) to trace and colour, on its own or inside a simple frame, plus a first page with stroke arrows.
Both show "Age 2–4" on the cover, with Name and Date lines on every page and a "Super Star Learner!" certificate at the end. Print the A4 PDF (or US Letter) at 100% scale, in colour or black and white.
Tips: bring out the flag book around 15 August or 26 January, keep a real flag nearby to match the colours, and trace the Om arrow page together before trying the others. Keep each session short and praise the effort.
