These Gujarati alphabet (kakko) tracing worksheets put the whole ગુજરાતી કક્કો in one free PDF: 49 activity pages, one letter per page, in the standard school (Std 1) order. Your child traces a big dashed letter, looks at a picture with its Gujarati word, then traces and writes the letter again.
What's inside: the swar અ આ ઇ ઈ ઉ ઊ ઋ એ ઐ ઓ ઔ, then અં and અઃ, then the vyanjan from ક to હ, followed by ળ, ક્ષ and જ્ઞ. Picture words include અ અનાનસ, આ આગગાડી, ઉ ઉંદર, ક કમળ, ગ ગાય, છ છત્રી, પ પતંગ, મ મોર and હ હાથી. Each page also has two rows of grey letters to trace and a row of boxes to write in, with the instruction "Trace the big letter, then write it!". ઙ, ઞ and અઃ have no picture, with a Gujarati line saying no Gujarati word starts with that letter; ણ and ળ appear inside a word (પાણી, વાદળ). ઍ, ઑ, ત્ર and શ્ર are not included. The book ends with a certificate.
Age: the cover says Age 2–4. Younger children can trace just the big letter and leave the boxes for later.
How to print: choose the A4 PDF (or US Letter in the US and Canada), print at 100% scale ("actual size"), in colour or black and white.
Tips for parents:
- Say the letter and its word aloud together: "ક, કમળ".
- One or two letters a day is plenty. Praise the trying, not neatness.

How many letters are in this Gujarati kakko book?
49: the 11 swar from અ to ઔ, then અં and અઃ, the consonants ક to હ, and finally ળ, ક્ષ and જ્ઞ.
Is this a Hindi book?
No. The letters, the order and the picture words are Gujarati. Our two Hindi Varnamala books are separate.
Does it include barakhadi or matras?
No. Each page shows one letter on its own.
Are ઍ and ઑ included?
No. The book follows the standard kakko without ઍ, ઑ, ત્ર and શ્ર.
